My name is Jeremy. My friends call me “Jerm.” For the past seven years I have been the Technical Director for Oakbrook Church in Kokomo, Indiana. Prior to that, I owned my own creative agency, Waterline Media, which provided advertising and marketing products such as graphic design, audio, video, and multimedia production to local and regional clients. At present, I am actively seeking a new position in Nashville, Tennessee. You can read about my transition from Oakbrook here.
I am also the husband of an awesome woman, Mandy, and father to two beautiful daughters. Yep…I’m surrounded by estrogen. We do have a boy dog – Buddy. But still – it’s a house full of drama most days. If you feel any pity for me…invite me over to watch football, take me to a ballgame, play a round of 18 with me, buy me a beer, swear at me…remind me what being a man is all about. (I forget sometimes)
I’m a huge fan of Apple. I have a MacBook Pro. I am always running FinalCutPro and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
I love movies – especially adventures. I am nearly finished seeing all of the AFI’s 100 Years…100 Movies (both editions). Two of my blog posts about movies include Great Films For Musicians, and Movies That Make You Think.
My wife and I don’t watch too much television, but we’re huge fan of the shows House, Lie To Me, Holmes On Homes, and with us both being vocalists, of course we watch American Idol.
I’m a musician. Primary instrument is bass, but I also play guitar, keys, and drums. I’m very happy with my electric guitar pedlaboard, which is populated with a lot of Analogman gear. (post about the pedalboard here.) I own an ’89 Fender Strat Plus, one of the early Japanese Squier Blonde Teles, a Taylor 110 Acoustic, and a Yamaha BB5 5-string bass. My Dad owns a lot of vintage guitars, and lets me use them quite often, including a 1977 Gretsch Country Gentleman, 1988 Gibson ES-175D, and 1973 Gibson Dove. You can see a picture of those here.
